From now on, while in Prague, I´ll blog in english. It´s easier to read and I won´t have to edit after I return home.
Today my head feels much better. It was probably something that happened in the ear when descending from the air. I slept for 8 hs in a rather uncomfortable bed, but I was too tired to bother.
Midday todaÿ I went to visit the Invalidovna house again. Last time I was here I didn´t take any photos. I care very much for this sad and falling apart building and had hoped to see some work done there. Unfortunately it looked even worse...
The film Amadeus was partly filmed here. This is the building, the asylum, where Salieri is taken and where he is telling his story to the priest. I started taking pictures in the front of the house and entered through the building into the backyard, when a man in a box, a guard, adressed me with an angry voice: "No foty! ARMY! NO FOTY!" It´s such a beautiful building, but you could not imagine anyone working in there. Even on the outside it reeks of moulding damp paper and stone. This area, called Karlin, was flooded by 2-3 meters of water in the flooding of the river Moldau in 2001 (or maybe it was in 2002?). You can still see the marks of the water on the outer walls. The house holds the Army Archives, but I wonder what is left of the documents.
I tried - unsuccesfully - to chat with the man in uniform, so I excused myself and left. I had broken the law, but at least he let me get away with it!
