Today I also found the villa, way out west in Vinohradz, where the brothers Čapek lived for a while. Not far from there I think I may have found the Czech Post Terminal in Prague!
I had a long tramride back into the city, to Ujezd, where my favourite café called Labyrint is. I´ve been there on everyone of my visits always meeting the same waiter, who has been rather annoying. Not rude, but almost, when I adressed him in english. This time I started by - in CZECH! - telling him: "Omlouvam se, nemluvim cesky. Anglicky?" "I´m sorry, I don´t speak czech. English?" and I got a smile from him! The ice was broken. Victory! We got along very well!
I´m also proud to announce that I have a ticket to the theatre on friday evening! I will watch Vaclav Havels version of the oldtimer The Beggars opera. The Svandovo Divadlo Theatre is the only theatre in Prague with english subtitels throughout the play!
Lucky you!Jag såg själv "Dansar med vargar" på bio i Prag, dubbad på tjeckiska...
